Reddit Saved Posts: Find, Organize, and Keep Them (2026)

These steps follow the official Reddit saved-post help page. The different menu paths are part of Reddit's documented interfaces, so a missing desktop-style Saved tab in the app does not mean the items disappeared.

2. What Reddit officially documents — and what remains unknown

“has a maximum of 1000 saved items; anything saved after that pushes the oldest saved item out.”

That's a 2016 community comment, not documentation. Some third-party tools cite the same 1,000-item ceiling as their reason to exist — unverified here.

3. How to export or keep important Reddit saves

Reddit provides an official account-data request rather than a saved-list export button in the saved-post help instructions. Open Reddit's official account-data request instructions, follow its link to the data request form, sign in to the relevant account, and submit the request. The article says preparation can take up to 30 days.

The official article does not specify that the delivered package will contain a complete saved-post list in a particular file. Treat the package contents as unknown until downloaded and inspected. This distinction matters when the goal is a dependable backup rather than a general account-data copy.

For individual posts that matter now, a separate record can keep the permalink, post title, subreddit, capture date, and a short note about the intended follow-up. A URL-only record still depends on the source remaining available. A text capture or note preserves more context, while a screenshot preserves appearance but is less searchable and does not update with the source.

The destination can be a bookmark folder, notes database, local Markdown vault, or temporary reading queue. The important part is that the record carries enough context to be useful outside a single chronological Saved list.

4. A deadline-based option for Reddit links

A separate record solves the disappearing-source problem, but without a forcing function it just becomes a second Saved-style pile.
